ABOUT THE BOOK
Abandoned as a teenager, guidance counselor Tate Malone has become surrogate and over-protective father to his sister. Life is great until Shelby Coltman wheedles his impressionable sister into sharing an apartment. Raised in wealth, the beautiful Shelby could never understand poverty or rejection, and Tate doesn't appreciate her uprooting his sister. When Shelby hands over her savings to a homeless student, will God obliterate Tate's fears and deliver all of Shelby’s dreams...when hope rises?

Christian romance is one of my favorite genres so I was happy to dive into When Hope Rises. Shelby and Tate come together to help a student and fall in love along the way. Their purity is a main concern for both of them and I like how the author not only showed that but she showed how their decision affected their relationship and their past relationships. The characters come from completely different upbringings and have to get past their preconceived judgments about one another but the author showed them doing that easily.
This is a sweet story and an enjoyable read.
