I really loved the characters in this book! Uncle Jim and Aunt Stella are the familial hierarchy that we all can relate to having and loving. I would've liked to gotten to know one of the minor characters better. (I won't say which one because I don't want to give anything away.) Even though she was a minor character, much of the story had at least something to do with her and she had more emotionally at stake than many of the other characters. I would've liked to have seen her reaction to how things played out but I'm content to just imagine it :).
Filled to the brim with lots of family love and big family secrets, Things Left Unspoken is a great read!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Beneath the dust and the peeling wallpaper, things are not what they seem, and what Jo-Lynn doesn't know about her family holds just as many surprises. Was her great-grandfather the pillar of the community she thought he was? What is Aunt Stella hiding? And will her own marriage survive the renovation? Jo-Lynn isn't sure she wants to know the truth--but sometimes the truth has a way of making itself known.
